We highly value confidentiality & privacy and want to assure our patients that every file is safely kept and won’t be shared with anyone else, unless the patient’s consent is given. Anything said within consultation is completely confidential and will stay between the patient and myself.
*All these conditions apply unless an individual is in danger of being harmed or information is required by law.

All consultations and services are non refundable and cannot be exchanged. All custom herbal formulas provided under our consultation services are final and cannot be returned.

Informed consent and disclosure
The purpose of this document is to provide information in regards to the patient/practitioner relationship and my ethical practices as a medical herbalist. After reading all of the information, it will be your choice to decide whether or not you would like to book a consultation with me. The decision fully belongs to you and always will.
The role of the herbal practitioner
As a herbal practitioner, my goal is to provide a safe and confidential space where the patient has the freedom to talk about their health issues or any other personal issues they find relevant. Anything said within consultation is completely confidential and will stay between the patient and myself. The herbal medicine approach is a slower pace approach where we honour the body’s resilience and its healing capacities. As a herbal practitioner, I do not diagnose or directly treat disease. My intent is to guide you and inform you as much as possible about your health and the way herbal medicine can help support your body.
From the information gathered within consultation, my intention is to create a herbal formula unique to you, your needs and your constitution. As a patient, you always have the right to choose whether or not you would like the herbal formulas. If I judge that your needs are beyond my capacity, I will gladly refer you to another practitioner which will be able to help you in a more optimal way. I encourage and support any additional consultation you wish to pursue in order to provide you the best support for your health.
Patient’s right and responsibilities
Payment is due before services are rendered. Sliding scale option offered.
If you wish to cancel your appointment, you can do so 24 hours beforehand.
Any cancellations after that will include a fee. In case of emergency, this fee may be lifted.
As a patient, you always have the right to discontinue treatment with me at any moment.
You may choose to purchase herbal formulas with me or you may also purchase them elsewhere. As a patient, you deserve to be treated with care and with respect at all times. That being said, in the spirit of nature's diversity, all individuals, regardless of race, colour, religious or spiritual belief, cultural background, sexual orientation, gender or available economic resources are welcome to receive treatment with me. My intention will always be to create a safe space where one feels comfortable to be who they are.
Herb safety
Throughout history and even through modern research, most herbs used for healthcare have excellent safety reports. Herb and drug interactions are rare, but possible. For your safety, it is your responsibility to fully disclose any medications, herbs, and/or supplements you are currently taking. On my behalf, it is my responsibility to do my research and make sure I do not give any potentially harmful herb to any patient. Herbs should not be taken during pregnancy or lactation without the advice of an expert. If you become pregnant, it is your responsibility to inform me in order to make an informed decision on whether or not the present herbal treatment should be continued. Any alteration to a drug being taken should be reported to all health professionals.
If you are scheduled to have surgery or have been prescribed anticoagulants, antiepileptic drugs and/or digoxin, it is advisable to stop taking all herbs and supplements at least 72 hours prior.
